What is PRK?
PRK is one of the methods to correct myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.PRK is one of the first laser eye surgeries used to remedy eye diseases.
The procedure is performed by Exciter laser. This laser is used to remedy the curvature of the cornea. The duration of this operation is approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
This type of operation has no anesthesia and during the operation you are awake and watch the steps of operation, but before the operation, they anesthetize your eyes with a special eye drop and give you a sedative pill to reduce your stress.
This operation is used for people over 40 years old.
LASIK
LASIK is another eye operation that can treat myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. LASIK is one of the newest eye surgeries that makes a precise incision on the cornea in this laser surgery.
In a healthy person whose eyes do not have any problems, the cornea breaks the light and transmits it just behind the eye, but in the eyes that have problems with myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism, the light is not concentrated in the right place and blurred vision is created.
Comparison of PRK and LASIK eye surgery
PRK is suitable for people with thin corneas, but LASIK is suitable for people with thick corneas.

Plastic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons or otolaryngologists (ENT) perform most rhinoplasties. Training and board certification in one of these specialties is a good starting point. You’ll likely want a surgeon who often performs rhinoplasty.
You’ll likely want a surgeon with a good reputation among patients and other doctors. If your surgeon has published many papers in medical literature related to rhinoplasty and is invited to speak at educational conferences, that is usually one sign that their peers recognize expertise in rhinoplasty.
Make sure that your surgery will be performed in an accredited surgical facility or hospital. You likely should also feel comfortable with your surgeon. Look for a surgeon who can explain to you in understandable terms what is going to happen during your surgery.
